Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Saint Valentine's Day  is an annual holiday held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. The holiday is named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). The holiday first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

The Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, occurs every year on the new moon of the first lunar month, about four to eight weeks before spring (Lichun). The exact date can fall anytime between 21 January and 21 February (inclusive) of the Gregorian Calendar. Traditionally, years were marked by one of twelve Earthly Branches, represented by an animal, and one of ten Heavenly Stems, which correspond to the five elements. This combination cycles every 60 years. It is the most important Chinese celebration of the year. This time, New Years falls on the 14th.

Today is the 14th, time to think about the people you care about. We often take these persons for granted, but this should be the day to remember them, not only the one you love, but your family and friends too. My best wishes to everyone who is reading this blog and "Happy New Years" to Chinese readers.
I hope that soon, a lively community for Forsaken World will gather, so that we can celebrate the next Valentine's Day together.
