Two of Perfect World's upcoming games, Kung Foo! and Battle of the Immortals, have been delayed. This has been announced in the official Community Blog.
For more about the delays, read here and here.
For those that don't know Kung Foo! or Battle of the Immortals:
Kung Foo!, a "hilarious, slapstick MMORPG crafted by comic book writer, Devin Grayson", a game centered around making fun of about every cliche the mmorpg world knows (or where can you find a tank class called "Meatshield?"), but it also features cute graphics and an awesome pet system.
Battle of the Immortals is one of the first titles developed by PWE's sub development studio in Shanghai, while a majority of PWE's former games are from their studio in Beijing, China.
Centered around pvp, Battle of the Immortals (BoI for short) offers unique gear (soul gear). Weapons might change their length, metal wings may flutter in the wind, or the eyes on your sword may look around. It also features a pet system, mount system, territorial wars and a zodiac system.
I think it is a good decision to delay Kung Foo!, but am a bit baffled that Battle of the Immortal's canceled beta was announced the day closed beta was supposed to start.
And, with the way things stand now, everyone waiting for Forsaken World *may* soon get some news on it. Don't take me by the word, but the delay of Battle of the Immortal's closed beta and delay of Kung Foo!'s open beta is conspicuous.
